TENSION STILL ACUTE. Delhi, September 8. At iWultan the tension is still acute, but further trouble is not anticipated. Leading Hindus and Mohammedans are co-operating with the authorities to restore confidence to the masses. Police and military are still occupying the city. The latest casualties are four killed, three missing, and one hundred grievously’hurt, and N.Z.) ANOTHER MAHSUD SURRENDER. (Received 11, 9.5 a.m.) Delhi, Sept. 10. Another recalcitrant Mahsud tribe has submitted to the terms, thus relieving the Waziristan situation. Only one tribe remains obdurate.—(A. and N.Z.)
