CANCELLED ENGAGEMENT TO HERMINE. I London. September 9. It is stated that the ex-Kaiser has abandoned his intention to marry Hermine in consequence of influenial opposition in Monarchist circles, which objected to the Princess because she is of unequal birth, and has a familv of five children.—(A. and N.Z.)
