THE PICTURE HOUSES.

MUNICIPAL. Just how much of a man’s success he owes to his wife is the question which is treated in a pleasing way in William de Mille’s latest production. * ‘What Every Woman Knows/’ which was presented to a good audience at the Qastings Municipal Theatre last evening. The story portrays how a young politician wins fame and glory by his excellent speeches which his wife has aided him in writing. On the eve of his greatest speech, he falls in love with another woman, and drifts from his wife. Then comes a most delightful climax, after he realises his need of his wife, and reconciliation and success ensue. Lois Wilson and Conrad Nagel are prominent throughout, and give a beuatiful interpretation. COSY DE LWXE. “Married Life,’’ starring the popular king of fun, Ben Turpin, was the attraction at the Cosy last evening, ■when a large audience were kept in fits of laughter throughout the screening. Besides a large measure of fun being introduced into the picture there is plenty of action in the way of an amusing football match and an exciting chase in which motor cars and an aeroplane participate. The serial topical budget and the orchestra made excellent supports.
