FINANCES ARRANGED.
There is no doubt the Government is seized of the importance of getting right on with the scheme for harvesting the A rapuni rapids to generate electricity for the Auckland province says the “Star”). The Premier (the Rt. Hon. W. F. Massey) on Monday morning confirmed the statement that work was to proceed without delay. He would have been able to say more, onily a meeting he had arranegd with the Minister of Public Works (the Hon. J. G. Coates) at Wellington on Saturday to discuss A rapuni had to be cancelled. Asked about finance, the Premier said there would he no difficulty in arranging that matter, and he pointed out that the payments wouild be extended over a regular period of years.
