NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Napier Harbour Board, in pursuance of “The Napier Harbour Board Empowering and Loan Act, 1884,” and “The Napier Harbour Board Loans Enabling Act, 1918” (hereinafter collectively referred to as “The 1881 Act”) and in pursuance of “The Napier Harbour Board Loan Act, 1892” (hereinafter referred to as “The 1892 Act”), and for the purpose of providing funds to be applied towards the payment of annual charges in respect of the loans of £166,000 and £200,000 ransed under the 1884 Act and the 1892 Act respectively, intend, at a meeting of the Board, to be held in the Napier Borough Council Chambers, Napier, at 11 a.m. on Tuesday. April 11th, 1922, to levy in respect of the Special Rates made as security for the said loans of £166,000 and £200,000 resnectively, the sums of seven hundredths of a penny in the £ and eight hundredths of a penny in the £ respectively, on the ratable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all ratable property of the Board in such parts of the Napier Harbour Rating District as are situate or being within the boundaries of the Waipukurau Borough, the Waipukurau County and the Patangata County respectively, and also of all ratable property of the Board in such part of the Napier Harbour Rating District as was formerly situate or being within the boundaries of the H.B. County but which was added to and made to form part of East Taupo County by Proclamation published in the N.Z. Gazette of 20th September, 1917, at page 3617 as the same is described in the second schedule to the said Proclamation, such rates respectively to be for period commencing Ist January and ending 31st December. 1922, payable respectively in one payment on June Ist, 1922, at the office of the Board.
