WOMAN ADMITS BIGAMY.

FIRST HUSBAND TURNS UP,

Auckland March 20

Catherine Angus, aged 33, admitted a bigamous marriage at the Police Court to-day. The evidence showed that the accused was married at Petone in December, 1909, and recently went through the form of marriage at AVhangarei stating that she was a widow.

In a statement the accused said her husband deserted her and went to the war. As she heard nothing of him she presumed he was dead. After remarriage she left her second husband and then met Angus, who said it was his fault she believed him dead, as he had changed his name. The accused was committed for sentence.
