CYCLING AND ATHLETICS.
ANNUAL MEETING OF WAIPUKUBAU CLUB. The annual meeting of the Waipukurau Athletic and Cycling Club was held ' on Friday night in tho Leviathan sample «rooms, there being a poor attendance of members The annual report and bal-ance-sheet, read by the secretary, was adopted. The following officers and committee were re-elected:—~W. Adams (chairman), T. Mahoney (secretary), E. Manning (treasurer), W. J. Mahoney, F. Gay, A. McConchie, AV. Mitchell and F. Wells (committee). The secretary in the course of his reportmentioned the good work done by Messrs Bailie and Mclnncs as instructors in connection with last year’s gymnasium and boxing class, also the kindness of the H.B. Boxing Association in coming up from Hastings and taking charge of the boxing exhibition. After the general meeting tho new committee met and decided to commence th men’s gymnasium and boxing class on April sth; while the newly formed ladies’ class will start on the following night.
