NAPIER CLUB. The first distance of the Hedley Memorial .Cup (ladies) and final distances of the Stevenson and Bryant Cups were held at the Napier baths last evening. There was a large attendance of spectators to witness well handicapped racing. Results were:— Hedley Cup, 33 1-3 yards: Ist heat— Misses G. McCoombe 1, E. Stedman 2, L. Freedman 3. 2nd Misses M. Faerv 1, N. Rolls 2. M. Rydon 3. Final: Misses L. Fridman (scr) 1, M. Faery (4 sec) 2. G. McCoombe (4 secs) 3; time 24 2-5 secs. Stevenson Cup, 100 yards: S. Hogg (scr) 1, C. Hounsell (7 secs) 2; M. Waterworth (5 sec) 3. Time 79 secs. Bryant Cup, 100 yards: C. Ixiund (scr) 1, H. Bryant (7 sec) 2. Ready (9 secs) and Murray (9 secs) 3. Time 88 secs. The final results of the last two cups arc:— Stevenson: S. Hogg, 11 points. 1; C. Hounsell, 7 points, 2; L. Rolls, 6 points, 3. C*i”i • A.. Wurmv. 1 2 Joints, 1 : C. Lound, 9 points, 2; H, Bryant, 6 points. 3. Next Wednesday the first distance of the Courtenav Bowen Memorial Cup ‘220 vards) will be held, also the second distance (50 yards) of ’the Hedley Memorial Cup (50 yards).
