BURGLAR AT OTANE.

STATION BROKEN INTO. THIEF DISAPPOINTED. A burglar is at work in Otane, fortunately so far without success. During last night the railway station was forcibly entered and the office ransacked. The marauder evidently tried to open the window through a small hole near the catch, but failing in this smashed the pane'. An examination of the office disclosed nothing missing. The house-breaker then went across the road to Nurse Watts’ place. Nurse Watts was away at the time. As far as can be ascertained nothing was taken.
