The sale of the celebrated Ferari collection of stamps in Paris realised 3,271 937 francs. Princess Chin, mother of the hov Emperor of Shantung, committed suicide bv taking an overdose of opium. It is believed she ouarrelled with the Empress, Dowager Princess Chun.
