BRISBANE CONFERENCE CONCLUDES. Brisbane, Ot. 16. The Labour Conference has concluded. A resolution was adopted in favour of the abolition of the Senate, and empowering the Commonwealth Government to create now States; that no further Imperial honours be granted 'to Australian citizens; that a Federal 1 Bureau of Education be created, and a free Federal University established. The conference carried a motion pledging members individually and collectively to refuse to participate in any war outside the Commonwealth. It was also decided to oppose all forms of assisted immigration and urge that no Government should arrange for immigrants without the approval of organised Labour.
