THE SPRING SHOW.
By Wednesday the weather should liavt* become settled after the rains and there is every prospect of splendid conditions for the H.B. A. and P. Society’s Spring Show, on Wednesday and Thursday next. There is a big entry of stock in all classes, and the competitions ar© being very keenl.5 r contested this year, whilst the side shows, always a big attraction for the crowd, old and young, will be particularly well represented. By "People’s Day" (Thursday), the grounds will be in tip-top condition and family parties in large numbers will, as usual, takte advantage of the gathering to flock Hastingswards, from all parts of Hawke’s Bay, on the chance of meeting old acquaintances in the teeming throng and to picnic, with their friends, under the shade of the gracious willows.' The management have catered particularly for families in this regard, as hot water is provided free near the rear of the grandstand, so that provision has been made for a most enjoyable outing for all classes of the community.
