Tho Women’s Citizens’ Associations of New South Wales decided to urge that a representative of the women of Australia be appointed to the League of Nations. Mr. Justice Beeby, in a special court, declined to extend the fortyfour hour principle to the railway service, on account of the increase in the cost involved, leading inevitably to increased fares and freights. In the Senate Senator Millen stated that ordinances for safeguarding the industries of tho Northern Territory against adverse actions by organisations or associations had been approved and would shortly operate.
