MISHAP TO PARER.
STRANGE INTERPRETATION. London. Aug. 10. lhe cable from Australia regarding the accident to Lieutenant Parer soon after his commencing his round-Aus-tralia flight was peculiarly interpreted by the “Daily Chronicle.” The text of the cable read that tho engine was “missing” (meaning miss-firing). The Daily Chronicle” put up tne headlines, “Strange Mishap—Engine Falls Off Aeroplane.”
