FAREWELL CONCERT. Hastings music-lovers are sure to welcome the managerial announcement that a return farewell concert by this famous young Italian operatic tenor and his brilliant associates, Mr. Gordon Short and Miss Rav Fox, will ; he given at the Municipal Theatre on Monday next. The tour of this eminent artist and his company throughout New Zealand has been one long succession of triumphs. From NArth to South, wherever the company has appeared, the audiences have been roused to scenes of wildest enthusiasm. On no occasion has Signor Notariello been released by the audience until he had sung ten or twelve encore niunb»rs and in many cases it was with difficulty that the audience could be induced to leave the hall. This will be the last opportunity local mu<dc--I'vers will have of hearing this distinguished young artist, as he leaves shortly to fulfil lengthy Australian and American contracts. The success of the other artists has also been worthv their hiuh reputation abroad. Throughout New Zealand press and n nblic alike have been unstinting in their pra’se of the excentionallv brilliant performances of these two assisting Such an opportunity of hearing one of the world’s greatest tenors and such a fine sunnorting company is seldom given to Hastings, and it is confidently expected that local music-lovers will he onick to appreciate the inclusion of Hastings in the farewell tour of this brilliant company.
