BLINDED SOLDIERS.
NO SEPARATE FUND. Wellington, Aug. 16. ' A meeting of the Advisory Board of patriotic and war relief societies to- 1 day, on the question of blinded soldiers’ fund on the linos suggested by Mr. Clutha Mackenzie decided that in view of the diversion of opinion among societies, and as blinded soldiers are receiving pensions as well as liberal as- I sistanco where required from the Re- ‘ patriation Department R is not necessary to take further /ction to establish a separate fund, particularly as such a course would be apposed to the established principle that the moneys are not to be distinctively set aside for any particular section of wounded men, but that each case should be tried on its merits. ■ ■ : i
