Four have keen sentenced | to lie imprisonment, and two to seven M years for attempted murder of a Chin- q ese interpreter who was frightfully wounded and maimed for life, having | lost one eye. Dr. Ahli, Chinese Consul at Apin m was charged simi’arly but acquitted g on the ground that the evidence of 4 Al Learray that apparently whoever *1 induced tho coolies to commit the crime 3 had used tho Consul’s name. The Court H considered Ahli had acted unwbelv in withholding information from the au- ? thorities. •
