LEVEL CROSSING CRASH.
ENGINE STRIKES MOTOR CAR - Invercargill, Oct. 29. A motor-car collided with the train from Riverton to Invercargill at tho Wallacetown level crossing last evening. The car contained two men, who did not notice the approaching train until they were almost on the line. One of the occupants jumped out, but the other, Henry Warden, the driver, remained in the car and was struck by the engine, sustaining a fracture of the skull. He was removed to the Southland Hospital in a serious condition.
