WEDDING.
McCAW—BETHUNE. St. Matthew’s Church, Hastings, was the scene of a very pretty wedding last Wednesday, when Rev. R. T. Hall f’erlonued the coretnoiry of matrimony between Miss Rena Bethune. elder daughter of Mr. and Airs. X. .1. Bethune. of Hastings, and Air. Oswalt! Md’aw, son of Air. and Airs. McCaw, of “Ardwell.” Hamilton. Mis.-. Bethune, a Ito was given away by her lather. looked the picture of a daiu’y bride, attired in an ivory olga draped skirt, caught up with orange blossoms, and bodice of olga, trimmed with true lovers’ knots of pearls, with georgette sleeves and wearing rhe usual -veil, with a curoilct of orange blossoms. Sim earried a shower bouquet of white and pink cyclomen. with maiden-hair fern and asparagus fern. She was attended as bridesmaid, by -her sister. Miss Helen Betlume. dressed in pink olga tucked skirt, with a pink bodice ofSgeorgette, trimmed in pearl and rose am! wearing a pink lined black tulle Jiat, trimmed with rose pink feathers. Sim carried a shower bouquet of pink roses and asparagus fern. Little Jean Lyons, cousin of the bride, Ws in attendance as a Hower girl, dressed u. white silk and lace frock, trimmed with black velvet antb pink forget-me-nots, and-wearing a black hat. lined with pink tp match. She carried a basket of cyclomen and ferns. Air. Cecil Averii! discharged the duties of best man. At the conclusion of the service, the bridal p?lrty left the church to the strains of the wedding march, played on the.organ by Mr. P. jiV. Tombs, and the wedding guests were subsequently entertained by the bride’s mother, who received in a black satin costume, with silk tagel hat, trimmed in pink. The jutuig couple received the liearty-coggrattCr-tions of their many friends and they subsequently left for Auckland, where their honeymoon will be spent, amidst general good wishes for their future happiness, the bride wearing a going-away costume of navy blue with puttee straw toque, trimmed with navy blue ribbon and cherries, and wearing blue fox furs. The wedding gifts, which were very handsome, included several cheques.
