It was decided .t--have a flower queen compclit'oo the arrangements for which were lei .in the hands of the organising seer, tary, Mrs. Stace. .Members presem were very enthusiastic and the propeers for an unusually successlul sho - this year are good. GOLF. The Waipukurau Gol( Club has been negotiating for some time in connei - tioir wit’u the engagement of a. qualified coach, and has been successful in secu» ing the services of Mr. J. C. Clem ments. This gentleman has a very hig' reputation both,as a coach and ; plaver, and should be a decisive factoin ‘raising the standard of local play.. .Mr. W. G. Paterson has received wore to the effect that Mr. Clements will ar live on Monday the 2oth in ? t, and n necessarv commence his duties the to' lowing day. The»club is progressive n all respects.
