WEDDING.

CROPPER—SMART. A quiet wedding was solemnised in St. Luke’s Church, Jlavejock North, yesterday afternoon by- the Rev. Canon Lush. The contracting parties were Mr. James Henry- Cropper, son of Mrs. Cropper, senr., of Hawera, and late of Westland, and Miss Elsie Gladvs Smart, third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. tV. Smart, of Havelock North. The bride, who was given away by her father, wus daintily attired in a’white magnolia silk dress, with veil and orange blossoms, and carried a beautiful bouquet of maiden hair fern and white roses. She was attended by Miss Olive Elnies, of Napier, who wore grey" crepe de chene trimmed with pink ninon and carried a bouquet of pink and white flowers. Mr. James Hern, nephew- of the bridegroom, carried out the duties of best man. The reception was held at the home of the .bride’s parents, to which the inunediate*Telatives were invited. The presents were numerous and valuable, including cheques. After the reception the bride the bridegroom left for their future home at Waitahi, Westland, the bride’s travelling dress being a grey tailor-made costume and old rose hat.
