Christ’s College has informed the Canterbury Rugby Union that its team is unable to take part in the Dominion Secondary Schools Tournament for the cup* won by the New Zealand Mounted Infantry in Egypt owing to the interference with school work the match would entail. NEW ZEALANDERS IN SYDNEY. S’ydney, July* 21. The New Zealand footballers arrived, fit and keen for the first match on Saturday. The team Selected is:—O’Brien, Steele, Algar. Storey. Roberts, Tilyard. Brown, Jacobs. Carroll. Duncan, Moffit. West. Baird. Bellis. Donald. They play New South Wales on July 24 and 31. and August and Northern Rivers and Taree on July HASTINGS SUB-UNION. A meeting of the Hastings Sub-union was held last evening. Father Mahoney iu the chair. There were also present, Messrs. Kember. J. A. Fraser. O'Neill, Gooseman and Brown. Gisborne Sub-union wrote re arrangements for playing Lane Shield match. — Decided to play at Gisborne on August 28th.
