Dublin is surrounded ,by military pickets operating behind barricades, who arc searching inward anil outward bound vehicles, whether horse 11 motor. Occasionally pedestrians . arc halted and searched. All soldiers have full fighting gear- and guard against surprise attacks. There is a similar movement in other parts of Ireland, including Belfast, .vlneh is aimed at preventing the transfer of secret supplies ot arms am; ammunition about the country. Sir E. Carson has arrived at Belfast to participate in Monday’s demonstration.(A. and N.Z.) « -.— MORE OUTRAGES. MAIL CARRIERS ATTACKED. (Received 12, 1.0.) , London, July 11. During the 1 three hours’ attack on the Rathmore police barracks, a bomb killed Sergeant YVynne. Eight men attacked Sergeant Leery am l Constable Barry, afte/ obtaining mails at the Rathduff post office. Leery was struck by 7 four bullets, and is in a critical condition. His assailants took official letters. Sergeant Mooney, returning from Dunglow post office with letters, was critically wounded by two hundred pellets from a shot gun fired from a vacant house. —(A. and N.Z.)
