FINDLAY SHIELD SCHOOL COMPETITION. PARKVALE v. CONVENT. This game, which was much in the nature of a scramble all through, resulted in a win for the Convent by six to nil. Mr. Garry was in control. j HAVELOCK N- v. PARKVALE. 1 Probably the best match of the season was witnessed when these schools met yesterday, both teams being well matched and each keen on securing a win. The game was an excellent exhibition of bovs’ football. Tho pace was fast and interesting throughout, splendid forward work being evidenced, whilst the passing among the backs of both teams was a special feature. Tries were scored for Havelock by Bone (2), Garnett and Berggren, all kicks at goal being unsuccessful. For Havelock Berggren and George (forwards) and Wise and J. Garnett (backs) were outstanding. anti for Parkvale Burnett and E. Wilson (forwards) and R. Garnett (back) were prominent. Play ended: Havelock 12, Parkvale nil. Mr. Alex. Luke was in control.
