HASTINGS SATURDAY MARKET.

Beard. Bullen and Co. report as follows re their Saturday market sale. We offered a good yarding of dairy atock on Saturday last, sales being as follows: —Empty Jersey cow £6. Jersey heifer (just calved) £l5 15s. do £ll Ms, Jersey cow in profit £7 10s. Jersey cow (springing) £9 ss. Jersey heifer (springing) £9 ss. 1 do £9 10s, 1 Jersey heifer in profit £ll. road heifer (springing> £9 12s 6d, Shorthorn cow at drop £l7. Holstein cow in profit £l3 2s 6d. Hacks and harness horses made from 12s fid for old aged mare to £ll 10s. Pigs— Weaner 15s. 4 slips at 33» 6d. 1 at 30s. 1 at 255. 2 at 20s. 2 slips at 245. 6 weaners at 12s 6d. 1 at 10s 6d, 1 at 7s 6d, 1 at 7a, 5 weaners at 21s. 1 at 255. 1 at 20s. 1 sow £7 2s 6d, 1 at £7 12s. Poultry was again in big supply and we sold table hens from 5s 6d for small to 8s 6d for heavy, cockerels up to 12a for larga heavy sorts, others 5s for small to 6s, pullets made up to ate for, choice, others 8s to 12s 6d: ducks 5s lOd to 14s; turkeys 21s to 275. all at per pair. We report excellent sales for all farm and garden sundries and we sold a quantity of goods on account Public Trustee at most satisfactory prices. Fruit and produce met will good sales. Apples made from 2s to 4a 6d per half-ease: table potatoes 12s to 26s sack, pig do 4s to 6s 6d sack: pumpkins tin to 7 6 sack, loose do 6e dox; maize 15s sack.
