SIR GEORGE CLIFFORD MET. AMENDMENT OF RULES. AVellington, May 29. It! is understood that meeti’-g arranged between representatives <:f most of the leading jockeys of the Dominion who resigned from the New Zealand Jockeys’ Union, and Sit* George Clifford (President of the Racing Conference) was held to-day with the result that certain amendments to* the rul-'s of racing will be laid before the Racing Conference for consideration, and rha f certain other suggestions were mad" to bo laitl before racing clubs regarding conveniences to l>e afforded to jo'-ke's in pursuit of their profession. It is stated that the result of the mooting way entirely saisfactory to all present.’
