REPLY TO A. A. GEORGE.

Ito ths iditor.l Sir, —Mr. A. A. George has been doing some thinking; anyway he was right when he thought I was in a bad way. So would he be if he were one of the thousands who, like myself, are struggling to maintain a family. He is also right that the sewer would be the cheapest for were he-to toil there for £3 14)5 a week and be expected to maintain a home and family, why it would break him up altogether. As to my cognomen (as he so nicely puts it) to-night I will drop it, for I live in the hope of seeing Mr. A. A. George using liis pen for the benefit of the poor economists who are unable to save a week’s wages. Thanking you, Sir. —I am. etc., J. BEAUMONT.
