REALISING RESPONSIBILITIES. Basra, Dec. 28. The official representative of the Arab Government conferring with the British authorities suggested that British troops return to Dairezzor and restore order. The representative of Ramadkan Shalash made a similar application and asked that funds be furnished to replace those looted by his friends to enable him to restore order in Dairezzor-
Both requests were refused as it is the duty of the Arab Government to restore the situation. The incident mav be regarded as closed.—(A- and N.Z.)
