RECONCILING INTERESTS. OBJECT OF MILNER MISSION. ALL CLASSES TOUEXPRESS IDEAS. DEMONSTRATIONS IN STREETS. (By Cable.—Pre** Aaaooiatfon.—Copyright.] ‘Cairo, Dec. 30. Lord Milner has issued a communique explaining that the mission’s .object, is to reconcile the Egyptian with British and foreign interests, Therefore the mission is anxious for the frankest and' most cordial relation. It has invited all classes of Egyptians to express their ideas freely without prejudice with a view to reaching an understanding. 1 The communique caused a demonstration necessitating soldiers in cabs to patrol the streets during the evening. Order was maintained. The native press insists upon the continued boycott of the mission.— (A. and N.Z.)

DEMANDED BY EGYPTIANS.
Cairo, Dec. 30. A committee representing all the Egyptian parties considered Lord' Milner’s proclamation, and issued a state-, ment insisting on complete independence, but admitted willingness to discuss foreign interests provided. Egypt’s sacred rights were not prejudiced.
