JL. uaiconeid in your issue of Monday, 2dth April, niuaes auotner ertort to belittle my efforts on tielialt of the Pukanu School, instead of acanow lodging his mistake as to my length of service on the board and number of visits paid to the school, he rushes into print about other matters that pertain solely to the duties of the committee, bnder the circumstances 1 do not leel disposed to make any other further explanation through the Press. 1 do, however, intend being present at trie next committee meeting of the Pukahu School, and with the permission of the committee, endeavour to lind out the reason for Mr. Wakefield unwarranted attack upon myself. — Hft am, etc., GILBERT McKAY.
