THE MAK-A-TRACTOR DEMONSTRATION.
The ploughing demonstration, held in Air. Beatson’s padclock, Hastings, on Saturday was witnessed by a fair representation of local farmers, anti surprise was expressed by all at t.ie •ease with which a Ford ear was doing the work, t.ie Mak-a-Tractor attachment taking all the, strain off j the engine and chassis. The special j cooling system, whii a goes with t.re j attachment, attracteu attention by i the efficient solving of the boiling | problem, which troubles many I-ord; owners and, after ploughing almost continuously for several hours one . could bear one s hand on the ratLa- I tor. At the conclusion of t.ie demonstration the attachment was dis-, mounted from the Ford, and t.ie , road wheels replaced, when tractor wheels and axle were loaded on the ■ back of tile car, wnich left the pad-j dock as a Ford ear, wit.iin three ; quarters of an hour after ceasing < ploughing. |
