STEAMER AFIRE IN MID-ATLANTIC. (Received 22, 0.29 a. tn.) London, March 21. The British steamer Penlee is afire in inid-Atlantic. The Mauretania and Werethena picked up s.o.s. signals, and are now hurrying to the rescue.—(A. and N.Z.) LOSS OF CUTTER JANET. ALL ABOARD PERISH. Ahickland, March 22. News by the Talune confirms the wreck of the Auckland cutter Janet, which is believed to have struck a reef between Troau and the Keppels. Wreckage was washed ashore at Haapi. The cutter was in charge of Captanx Mann, had a crew of four natives and passengers, Messrs Harris and child, Gallagher and child, and Johnson, also one native. It is believed that all perished.
