TRANS-ATLANTIC FLIGHT.
London, March 19
Captain Hawker’s Sopwith biplane for the trans-Atlantic flight is fitted with a 375 horse power engine, capable of travelling economically one hundred miles an hour. _ A wireless operator accompanies the pilot. The fusilage is constructed in the shape of a lifeboat and the machine is supplied with a scientific tuckbox containing two days’ food in tabloids. It is estimated that the journey will occupy nineteen hours,
