Up to midnight 107 members were returned unopposed, made up offiCoalition Unionists .. 41 Coalition Liberals .. 27 Sinn Feiners 27 ll Nationalist 1 For the other seats there is an unprecedented number of candidates. They include 580 Coalitionists, whereof 45 are Unionists and 125 Liberals, the remainder being Laborites. The Independent candidates number 270. Liberals oppose the Coalitionises in numerous triangular contests due to the plethora of Labourites, numbering 400 of various shades, and Independents, including National Party and Discharged Soldiers’ Federation candidates. (Received 6, 11.20 a.m.) London, Dec. 4. Sir Eric Geddes, First Lord of the Admiralty, stated the Tenth Cruiser Squadron guarded from the Orkneys to Iceland.
