N.Z. REINFORCEMENTS.
OF INTEREST TO RESERVISTS. Wellington, Aug. 16. With respect to the announcement that reservists of 40 years and over would not in future be sent into Cl Camp, it is ascertained that this decision will apply to men in that category already classified Cl. If such reservists apply for re-examina-tion their cases will be dealt with at once. If not tley will be considered whan the men have been mobilised. It is understood that the number of men affected by the decision is very small. The general position with regard to recruiting is strong. Fit A drafts up to November are well up to strength. Balloted men are not now being posted to the November draft but volunteers are still being accepted for that montn. Trie position, however, is not such as to warrant any reservists under orders to enter camp anticipating a postponement of the time fixed for concentration. Though the strength of the reinforcement drafts has again been brought back to the figures obtaining before the German offensive commenced it cannot be stated with any degree of certainty what the demands of the future will be.
