FRENCH LINERS SUNK.

London, Aug. 14. The French liners Djemnah and Australicn were torpedoed. In all 4-12 of the Di<innah’s and three <>f the Australicn’s passengers are missing. (Received 15, 11.50 a.m.)

Paris, August 14. The Djemnah was sunk on July 1-lth.

The Australien was torpedoed on July 19th. and foundered after burning. Seventeen of her crew were killed and three passengers aro missing. D-18 were saved.
