LONDON MARKETS. London, Aug. 8. Butter.^ —Still ' plentiful. Ths distributions fill all requirements with the result that retailers, who a few months ago gladly accepted whatever quality was sent them, are now complaining because they are allotted old stored third grade or pastry butter, while others are receiving splendid NewZealand. Tin.—The publication of statistics has been suspended. Wheat and flour. —Nothing doing. Tn the absence of offerings all quotations are nominally unchanged. Sugar.—Unchanged. TAKAPAU STOCK SALE. The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report having sold the following stock at their usual monthly sale at Takapau on Thursday, Sth inst., when the following prices were realised: —50 fat ewes 29/-, 102 ewes in lamb 29/3, 49 ew.es in lamb 24/6. 1 cow in calf £B, 1 do £5 15/-, 1 do £6. .
