NELSON’S BLOOD UP.

Nelson, October 6. The following resolution was carried unanimously by the city Council: “That in view’ of the inconvenience and the cost to which tins district is being put to by the steamer strike, this Council urges upon the Government the necessity to stand firm in its resolve to compel the seamen of coastal steamers to resume work, and that this council pledges all moral and physical support at fits command to the Gcvernment to enforce an early settlement of the strike.”
