PRISONERS SENTENCED.
Dunedin, Oct. 27. Two prisoners who came up for sentence before Judge Sim, James William and John Thompson, aged 17, for attempted assault on a girl, aged H years, were ordered to be detained for reformative treatment for a period not exceeding five years. John Mathieson (18) for a serious assault on a girl of 13 years was ordered to be detained for reformative treatment for a period not exceeding three years.
