riIHE Council of the Borough of Hast- -■- ings hereby give notice that the said Council propose to borrow by wav of Special Loan within the meaning of “ The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913,” aud under the authority of “ The Municipal Corporations Act, 1908,” and its amendmeuts the sum of £B,BOO to be expended for the following purpose, namely:—
For the purchase and installation of a new Diesel Engine and Generator, Switch Board and Instruments, Fuel Tan]t with Motor. Pump, and Piping, Engine Lathe and Chuck, Extensions to Power Station Building, Foundation for and lost of erecting Plant £8.120 Contingencies and cost of rais-. ing the Loan £6BO £B,BOO
The Council propose to pledge a Special Rate of | of a penny in the £ on the rateable value, on the basis of the Unimproved Value, on all rateable property in the Borough, as security for the said Loan and the Interest thereon, and for a Sinking Fund of 1 per cent. The Interest will be at a rate not exceeding Five and a-half per centum per annum.
It is proposed that the whole amount of the Loan shall be repayable at the expiration of a term not exceeding Thirty-six and a-half years, computed from the date of raising the said Loan. It is proposed to pay out of the Loan the cost of raising the Loan. It is NOT proposed to pay out of the Loan the Interest and Sinking Fund for the first year. PERCY R. PURSER, Town Clerk.
