Wellington, July 8. The weather was showery at Trentham this morning and all fast work took place on the grass track. Mascot anti Ayah ran four furlongs in 54 secs. Flying Start and Battle Eve had easy tasks. Seadown ana Twelfth Night ran five furlongs in I min. 6sec, finishing in that order. Styrax, once round, ran the last seven furlongs in Inun. 39secs. Merrie Gain, Haumakaka, and Harbour Light ran seven furlongs in Imin. 36 l .secs. in the order named. Gold Boult was better than George, doing five furlongs in Imin. Msecs. Roseland beat Trickery mi half a mile in 54secs., and Comely and Bomb easy pacing. Mr. Victoria ran four furlongs in 53i»ecs. Woolloomooloo and Banian ran seven furlongs in Imin. 39secs. Kukri was in front with Portland and Lady Ladogear between them.., Heart did seven furlongs in Imin. 37secs. Pursefiller alone did six furlongs in Imin. 23 3-ssecs. Kooya was m front of Bodenham, running six furlongs in Imin. 2ljsecs. Maid o’ Gqwne, Ineuru and Ringform ran 1 mile in Imin. 49secs. in the order named. Bisogue did four furlongs in 53secs., Toki in 541 secs. Black Lea, C aptain Jack, Ngatoa, Darby Paul and Kawea jumped big fences. Marconi, Tragedy King, and Czaronus in comnanv jumped the schooling hurdles? afterwards doing a round on the flat. Art and Soultikoff did trotting and cantering work.
