ApperleyX oil painting (Miss Rickards) .£2 iL . occasional table cloth beautifully worked (Airs. Heyward) ’lO -, fine rooster (Havelock friend) 15 -, 3 large pictures (Air. Vogt her) £-5 5. -, book (Aide. Parker) 10 -, picture (ALA.) 25/-, tambourine and bones (AI.A.) 5/-, King Aiv,-it s Book (AI.A.) £2 2 —total £l7 19,-, which added to £45 19'9 makes the gross takings £63 18 9. The expenses of the production of tlie burlesque were : Theatre £B, programmes £7 10--, dodgers 6 -, ticket s printing 15 -. hire of hall for rehearsals £], workman at theatre 5/-, material for costumes £4 5/—total £2O, leaving net proceeds, including auction, £43 18'9 (more to come in).

The management desire to thank the fell owing helpers who contributed io the gratifying success obtained: —Aliss Gallien, prettily made fancy baskets of sweets ; Airs. Burt, violets ; Airs. ■ Brimmer, flowers ; Airs. Flanaghan. 6 doz. buttonholes. Many others gave ready help, but space does not afford full mention. On behalf of our French comrades, the Burlesque company thank the public very gratefully- for th? generous support given them. The following contributions have generously been sent since the report of the burlesque was given in: Ths gross takings now amount to £65 8/9 and more to come in: AL E. Tosswill 10/-, T. T. Tosswill JO'-, R. C. Tosswill 10'-.

In a letter to the “Tribune.” Airs. Alexander states “I think you will agree with me that it is time some supervision was made of the sale of flowers and sweets, ostensibly for the wounded soldiers. At the burlesque in aid of the French Red Cross, outside parties sent children there who made an active sale of sweetmeats supposed to be for the cause in hand, but the money has not been remitted to me, therefore it cannot he accounted for, in the report of the profits made. 1 consider that when rhe public give money to support any special cause, they have the right to know that it reaches the channel for which it is intended.
