The trawler Countess, owned by a Napier syndicate, arrived at Auckland on Saturday afternoon to undertake trawling cn the coast ot the Oceanic Fish Co., ot Auckland. Thy trawler has been chartered experimentally. and will operate, it is understood. outside the gulf. Trawling ••n a smaller basis has already been undertaken up the coast towards M'aikwortli. with good results, ami it is intended that the C< unless should work fun her afield. The trawler landed nearly six tons of fish <-n hei arrival, having caught the whole 10l on her way up.
