ORMONDVILLE

(Own Correspondent.)

The executive of the Ormondville Patriotic Committee met in the Oddfellows’ Hall on Saturday night, Air. N. Nikolaisen presiding. It was decided to hold a concert and dance in the Rechabite Hall on Wednesday, August 11, when a presentation will be made to Privates Baines and Howes, who leave shortly for the front. The committee are leaving no stone unturned to make the function a success, and a bumper house is anticipated. The patriotic social held in Whetukura in aid of the ’Wounded Soldiers’ Fund realised the sum of £2O.
