INTERCESSION SERVICES

AT NAPIER Special intercession services were held yesterday in the various churches at Napier. Among the subjects preached upon were: “The power of national penitence and prayer” (Rev. Canon Mayne, at Napier (athedrai): "The nian will nut rest until he has finished the tiling” (Rev. J. A. Asher, at St. Paul’s); "A parable from the front (Rev. E. A. Hodge, at Congregational Church). AT HASTINGS. Special services of intercession were heal at the Sacred Heart Church. There was a large congregation al St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church yesterday morning, when an intercession service was held, the Rev. IL Waugli ofliciat inn.
