I’he remains of the late .Mr. IL Hislop, of Wellington, v ere interred in the Oi montlx file cemetery on Friday afternoon. Representatives of the Oddfeiloxxs' and Masonic ledges were present to pay their last respects t<> the deeds.-’ I genllcm’in, who was widely known. The Revs. A. Grant and W. J. Harvey read the burial service. Ano'her old pioneer settler in the person of Mrs. Hnn-en passed away on Friday . The deceased lady , who was So xcrirs of age. was one of the first settlers in (Jrmondville. and was widely known and respeced. Her husband died soln.- few years ago, and they had no family. The patriotic concert held <n Thursday last realised £7 -I 6, winch is a very creditable sum considering the small hall in which the function was held. The ladies deserxe great praise for their effort.
