Petrograd considers the Allies’ victories on the western front are likely to compel the removal of the Germans from the Masurian campaign. Decision with regard to the siege of Przeymsl is imminent and heartens the Russians, who are already stimulated by the prospect of complete victory for the army in the Caucasus. The Russians are also eagerly expecting to join hands with the Allies under the walls of Constantinople.
