Rain commenced on Thursday morning, but it passed over and for the rest of the day a howling northerly gale was experienced. The absence ci rain is causing anxiety to the farmers. A button hole day is to be held on Saturday in aid of the Red Cross funds, and the local band’s attendance in the evening is anticipated.
