HIGH COMMISSIONER’S REPORT. Under date London, 18th Sept., 8.35 a.m.. the High Commissioner re ports:— Official.—There is no particular change in the situation. Some activity by the Allies’ cavalry is reported without at present any definite result. On the 16th Commander Samson with a small armoured motor car force attached to the Naval Flying Corps, encountered a patrol of five Uhlans near Doullehs. They killed four and wounded and captured the fifth. The British force suffered nc casualties. London. Sept. 19. 10,20 p in. Official. —The casualty - list published includes 20 officers killed and 40 wounded. Eighty of the men wound ed have been admitted to the Lon don Hospital. The officers killed include Lord H. G. F. Guernsey, second lieutenant in the Irish Guards. Lord Hay. and Captain Sir R. Lucas Tooth, of tire Ninth Lancers. The loss of an Australian submarine is officially announced. There are no details.
