HASTINGS PHILHARMONIC SOCIETY.
PATRIOTIC CONCERT AT HASTINGS. In reply to Irishman’s letter in our issue of the 11th instant the Hastings Philharmonic Society kas decided to discontinue practices of Faust in the meantime, and will give a patriotic concert in conjunction with the Orchestral Society and the Liedertafel in the Princess Theatre, Hastings, on Wednesday, September 9th, the proceeds to be given to the Distress Fund. . - , The tableaux organised by Mrs. E. V. Hudson which were such a feature of the patriotic concert in Napier last Monday will be shown at this concert. A further announcement will appear in our columns later.
